Library Services

The home library for the CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS) is the Newman Library at Baruch College. The Newman Library provides students with an easy, quick way of accessing computer-based library materials through its internet-based resources. These include electronic research databases and an E-Reserve system where professors can post class related content.

Students' Newman Library username and passwords are mailed to their CUNY SPS email accounts upon enrollment into the program. They will need this information to access the online library resources.

The Newman Library has designated a group study room on the 5th floor for exclusive use by CUNY SPS students. For more information, please review the Newman Library policies and procedures for all group study rooms.

In addition to the Newman Library, students of the CUNY School of Professional Studies with a valid CUNY SPS ID have access to the 20 libraries of The City University of New York system. To enter any of the libraries, including Newman Library, students must present their SPS ID Card along with a valid picture ID.
